The first series of Guides produced by the Australian Science Archives Project were published under the title The Papers of ... or The Records of ... They contain series listings, as well as an historical note or career summary and an index.

Second Series

The second series of Guides produced by the Australian Science Archives Project commenced in 1992 and is the current series of listings. Within this series there are two types of guide, published under the titles Brief Guide to the Records of ... and Guide to the Records of ...

Brief Guides contain a listing of every file in the collection, accompanied by a brief description of each file's contents and an historical note or career summary. They may include a proper-name index and illustrations copied from the collection.
