General Information




VENUE

The conference will be held at Becker House, Australian Academy of Science, within the grounds of the Australian National University. Becker House, (or the ‘Dome’ as it is often known), was specially designed for the Australian Academy of Science and, with an almost sci-fi appearance, remains one of the most unusual buildings in Australia.

PARKING

Parking outside Becker House is for set down, pick up only.

Pay parking is available in Carpark No. 21, opposite Ian Potter House, between 8.30 am - 5.30 am .

Prices as at 12/3/98 were: 1 hour - $1.00; 2 hours - $2.00; 3 hours - $3.50; all day - $4.00.




ACCOMMODATION

Blocks of rooms have been reserved for conference delegates at two venues in Canberra. Both are close to Becker House.

Bookings should be made direct to the selected venue. Accommodation is subject to availability and early reservations are recommended.

MEALS

Conference full day registrations include lunch, morning tea and afternoon tea.

Two day registrations also include the 3 course conference dinner and presentation at Old Parliament House. Please note that for catering purposes numbers for the conference dinner need to be finalised by 23/4/98.

REGISTRATION & CANCELLATION POLICY

Subject to availability registrations will be accepted up to and including the event.
Registrations will be confirmed upon receipt of payment of registration fees.
Registrations will be non-refundable less than 10 working days prior to the event.
Registrants may substitute another person in their place on written advice to the Conference Organiser.
