Born London, ca 1832. Died ?. Purser on ship to Melbourne, arriving 1853; to gold diggings, opened stores and hotels various fields; made fortune supplying Tarrengower rush, but lost in speculation; attempted India rubber import business in Melbourne, failed; to New Zealand with theatrical troupe; returned to Melbourne and established meat trade to Britain with plain and kosher potter meat.
