Surveyor
Born: 1849  Piper's River, Tasmania, Australia.  Died: 9 August 1939  Hobart, Tasmania, Australia.
Edward Albert Counsel became head of the Surveys Department, Hobart and Deputy Surveyor-General of Tasmania in 1889. By 1894 he was promoted to Surveyor-General and Secretary for Lands retiring in 1924.
