Ashton, Henry Tamblyn (Harry) ( - 1992)

Born: Australia.  Died: April 1992.
Henry Tamblyn (Harry) Ashton, previously a maths and physics teacher at Adelaide High School, joined the RAAF in 1940 as a science graduate, undertaking meteorological training, and served until 1946. After the war he went straight into the Bureau of Meteorology, retiring in 1975 after 35 years in meteorology. He was the Bureau's first Assistant Director Facilities.
