Poynter, John Riddoch (1929 - )

John Riddoch Poynter was Ernest Scott Professor of History at the University of Melbourne 1966-75 and Deputy Vice-Chancellor 1975-90. He has written a number of biographies, including one on the chemist, Sir Russell Grimwade (qv).
