Benger, Lesley Dora (1949 - 2000)

Physiotherapist and Medical administrator
Lesley Dora Benger gained a diploma in physiotherapy from the University of Sydney. She worked as a physiotherapist in Newcastle, South Africa, Britain and Bali before returning to Sydney and working at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. She was later a lecturer and clinical supervisor at the University of Sydney. In 1981 Benger set up and managed her husband’s medical practice. She later established a day surgery centre and managed both it and the practice.
