Born 29 July 1892. Education Sydney University (B.Sc. 1913, B.E. 1915, M.E. 1930). Demonstrator in mechanical engineering Sydney University 1915-21; lecturer 1921-45; senior lecturer 1945-47; reader 1947-57. President of the Institution of Engineers Australia 1954.
