| Born: 11 November 1889 Petersham, New South Wales, Australia. Died: 8 March 1971 Moss Vale, New South Wales. | ||
| (Sir) Cecil Harold Hoskins was chairman and a joint managing director of Hoskins Iron and Steel Co. Ltd from 1925. He moved the family works from Lithgow to Port Kembla in 1927 and formed a new company, Australian Iron and Steel Ltd, to finance the operations, with himself as chairman and joint managing director. The company became a subidiary of B.H.P. in 1935, with Hoskins remaining general manager of A.I. & S. until 1950 and a director until 1959. |
